I started drawing at an early age and fabric arts came naturally after that (my mother's sewing machine was just too tempting). High School introduced me to live theatre and the need for costume creation. Fast forward 40 years and cosplay found me! 

Cosplay is for everyone! At the end of the day, the work I enjoy the most is when the audience feels connected to the community of cosplayers. My hope is that the attendee learns something about the history and social aspects of cosplay -- and that curiosity blossoms into participation.

The author Elizabeth Gilbert ("Eat, Pray, Love") has said to "follow your curiosity, your curiosity just might lead you to your passion".  And that has certainly been the case for me. Cosplay -- and especially this program that I have called "Cosplay for the Curious" -- is a work in progress. It evolves, just as my experience and the experience of the persons attending this program evolve and grow. As we all share different perspectives and experiences, the program grows.
